Stewardship & Giving

Stewardship & Giving

Stewardship often skips to the end and people think it's just about money, but its really about discipleship and our relationship with the Lord.  When we stop and think about it, we realize that God has given me gifts, abilities, has given me the opportunity to bear fruit, God has given me all these things in generosity, and so my whole view of myself changed when I came to know myself as loved by God.  And for our part, stewardship is our relational response to the Lord when we ask with the Psalmist "How can I repay the Lord for his goodness to me" (Psalm 116).  Knowing that there is a purpose to me life, that I am in this particular time and particular place with particular gifts to offer, stewardship becomes our personal response to our calling.  As such it is a way of life and our commitment to the Lord, giving back our very selves in return offering the time, talent, and treasure with have for the greater glory of God.  One could say, stewardship is to discipleship is what going to the gym is to having a membership in the gym... when we are baptized we have a membership but stewardship is practicing it, it's a way of life, it brings about capacity to grow in a relationship with God and all the other relationships of which we are a part.  When stewardship works, everything works

We're still working on this Page.  We hope to have updates soon as to ways in which we can give ourselves back to God more concretely in our Family of Parishes.  For now, check out the Mission and Ministry pages for ways to get involved.  Consider also supporting the mission of the Church with your donation using the links below.
